El Martinete
A three-episode audio project exploring the world of lucha libre. I received the raw recordings and handled the full post-production process in Adobe Audition, shaping each episode into a cohesive and dynamic listening experience.
The work included:
-
Sound design: creation of an atmosphere that matched the energy of the stories, using layers of background ambience, impact effects and transitional cues.
-
Voice editing: cleanup of dialogue, noise reduction, EQ balancing, compression, and overall clarity enhancement.
-
Narrative pacing: restructuring segments for flow, adjusting timing, and improving emotional rhythm.
-
Creative effects: adding musical stingers, crowd textures, fight SFX and subtle spatial touches to bring scenes to life.
This project was part of an academic sound-production class, but I approached it with a professional workflow—treating each episode as its own miniature world and crafting a sonic identity that supports the theme of the show.
I also contributed audio pieces for the class’s live radio program, collaborating closely with the hosts to produce short intros, transitions and on-air elements.
